HARP will be offering a new fitness class starting in April. Cardio Drumming is a low-to-moderate-intensity cardiovascular exercise suitable for beginners, older adults, and people with disabilities. Easy modification can be made to increase or decrease intensity, and participants can choose to sit, stand, or alternate positions throughout the class. Warm-up, stretching, and cooldown are key components of the course as well as improving health and reducing the risk of injury.
The class will be offered on Mondays and Wednesdays in April from 9am-10am. It will take place in the HARP Community Building located at 16 College Avenue Stewartstown, PA 17363. The first class is scheduled for Monday, April 6th and the last class for the session would take place on Wednesday, April 29th.
The cost is $70 for all 8 sessions. Those that live within the HARP areas (Hopewell Township, Stewartstown Borough, East Hopewell Township, and Crossroads Borough) receive a $5 discount. Your registration fee includes supplies (Exercise ball, drum sticks, and 5 gallon bucket) for the class that you can keep.
